Statement

I am fascinated by the transgression of the medium!

The expressive possibilities of photography and film are not sufficient for me. I won‘t trust these media unconditionally. I insist on expanding their means and their space according to parameters that I define. A photo becomes an object that protrudes into the space – a video work becomes a multidimensional installation.
I never tire of criticizing human interventions in the nature that surrounds us. This means that I not only reflect on processes between humans and the environment, but also on the staging of the environment itself.

My artistic practice is largely characterized by intensive observation and sometimes physical exploration. My “cross-media -stagings” generate expanded image levels which evoke a challenge for the viewer. Questi- ons are raised about the dichotomy of reality and (de-)construction… credibility and alienation.
With my work, I want to evoke memories and emotions that stimulate insightful thoughts. I deliberately leave the individual evaluation and interpretation to my audience. For me, art is an experimental setup in which I continually test the limits of artistic media.
